When you buy a home in one of Starlight’s Dallas-area communities, you’ll get the benefit of living in an area with an endless amount of entertainment options for the entire family.
Keep reading to learn about just a few of the many activities you can look forward to when you own a home in our Dallas area communities:
Dallas World Aquarium and Dallas Zoo
For the animal lovers in the family, The Dallas World Aquarium and Dallas Zoo are two attractions that are known for their unique exhibits that house a variety of creatures from around the world.
The aquarium is home to everything from endangered animals, like giant river otters, to the strange and unusual, like Japanese crabs and Weedy sea dragons.
The zoo is the largest in the state and home to over 2,000 animals. Its prized Giants of the Savanna habitat is the only place in the United States where visitors can see animals from Africa living as they would on a safari, including African elephants, impala, giraffes, warthogs and more.
Sports Galore!
To say Dallas is a big sports city would be a huge understatement. The city of Dallas and the surrounding metro area are home to six major league sports teams, so chances are, no matter your preference, it’s covered! Here’s a little cheat sheet of the major league teams to help you prep:
Football: Dallas Cowboys Baseball: Texas Rangers
Men’s Basketball: Dallas Mavericks Soccer: FC Dallas
Women’s Basketball: Dallas Wings Hockey: Dallas Stars
The city also has other local teams like lacrosse, rugby, horse racing, ultimate frisbee and more.
The State Fair of Texas
The State Fair of Texas is one of the city’s most popular events, and the largest, longest-running state fair in the country. Since 1886, families have flocked to the event every fall to take in the delicious variety of fair food, attend events and competitions and just have an all-around fun time. Established to promote community, agriculture, and education, the State Fair of Texas has a little something for everyone to enjoy.
Reunion Tower
This 561 ft observation tower is the best place to get a full, beautiful view of the city. Wolfgang Puck’s revolving restaurant, Five Sixty, makes for a great date night, and the GeO-Deck (aka the observation level of the tower) has everything from an interactive digital experience, telescopes, and a café.
Klyde Warren Park
There’s always something to do or see at Dallas’ “open-air community center,” Klyde Warren Park. The greenspace opened in 2012 and provides free events for the public. Take the kids over to Imagination Playground or to hear Music and Stories with Kidsworks. If getting some me-time is what you’d prefer, or enjoy some alone time while grabbing food from the Tuesday Food Trucks or working sweat it out with Grit Fit Camp.
Live near a vibrant and thriving metropolis, with plenty of ways to create life-long memories, when you own a Starlight Home in the Dallas area.
